The eternal emissions of a dying star; radiophrenia 2025, radio broadcast, 22 mins

Radio broadcast made in collaboration with Clara Hancock as Extense and included in the 2025 Radiophrenia programme. Using the decommissioning process of the Hunterston A and B nuclear sites the broadcast explores the exhaustion of the nuclear dream and the residues it has left on the Clyde coastline. The composition uses geophone recordings taken as part of the FieldARTS 2024 residency, a series of “low-frequency hums [...] drawn out from hunterston’s material landscape to become drones, pulling in and out of harmony, evoking sonic spectres that linger beyond the edges of auditory perception”.
